The Senate of NTUA, at its meeting of 07/03/2025 (3rd/2025), approved the establishment of the new Postgraduate Studies Programme (PSP) «Ship Performance Analysis and Management». The initiative for the establishment of the new programme was taken by the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
The PSP «Ship Performance Analysis and Management» aims to train scientists, primarily engineers, in subjects pertaining to the operation of ships with a view to their optimal management, applying a holistic approach encompassing the full range of active systems during their operation.
The thematic subjects of the Postgraduate Programme concern the introduction to and in-depth study of issues related to the analysis and management of ship performance, as recognised in the contemporary scientific and technical practice of the maritime community. In particular, it addresses cutting-edge technologies in naval architecture and related sciences. Special emphasis will be placed on the integration of knowledge based on new scientific developments, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the impact of the outcomes of the climate crisis.
