The National Technical University of Athens is participating in the first Aristotle Innovation Forum (AIF), which is taking place in Thessaloniki from 17 to 23 May 2026. NTUA is represented by its Technology Transfer Office at Pavilion 15 of the Thessaloniki International Fair.
The Aristotle Innovation Forum is a high-profile initiative of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which aspires to serve as a hub for meeting and collaboration among the academic community, research institutions, businesses, and society. This year’s theme, “Aristotle Meets AI”, focuses on the connection between human knowledge, ethical thought, and artificial intelligence, highlighting the role of universities and research in shaping the technological future.
Within the framework of its participation, NTUA is presenting research results and innovative tools from its Laboratories related to artificial intelligence. Additionally, spin-off activities of the Institution and EPISEUS are showcased, along with the technology transfer hub Science Agora, of which the Institution is a member.
The Rector of NTUA, Professor Ioannis K. Chatzigeorgiou, participated in the panel “Universities in the Digital Age (Rectors’ Meeting) – Panel of University Rectors and Senior Leadership of Greek Higher Education Institutions”, contributing to the dialogue on the role of universities in the digital age and the contemporary challenges of higher education and innovation.
Furthermore, Professor Maria Menegaki, Coordinator of NTUA’s KEDIMA, participated in the session “Leveraging AI in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary educational practices and the evolution of higher education.
The Institution’s presence reaffirms our commitment to outreach and to bridging academic research with innovation, entrepreneurship, and society, contributing to the development of a dynamic ecosystem of knowledge and innovation.
The NTUA pavilion will be present at the Thessaloniki International Fair until Friday 22 May, presenting to the public the activities and initiatives of the Institution that showcase the vitality of its research and innovation activities.
